I graduated from nursing school in 2000 and went to work in the emergency department. I soon decided that I that I wanted to run that ED someday… thankfully that never happened.
Over the next 25 years, I would become a charge nurse in that ED, I’d do informatics for a few years, go back to the bedside, transfer to interventional radiology, leave nursing for a year… that’s a whole story of it’s own. After this “break” I went back to the bedside in the ED, then I’d spend a few years in outpatient oncology before moving into education at a local hospital.
After moving into education I obtained my BSN and then my MSN in nursing education. I then spent a while teaching at a local university, before going back into the hospital educator role, which is my current full-time job. Oh, and I’m also an adjunct instructor, teaching a lab at UCF.
Throughout my career, I’ve taught and precepted so many nursing students, new nurses, and experienced nurses. Now, I look forward to working with you.

Outside of nursing, I’m married to my high school sweetheart and will celebrate 30 years married in March 2026.
We have two amazing children and our first grandchild.
In my spare time, whatever that is, I enjoy singing in my church’s worship team, doing some community theater, making stuff, and playing DnD with my kids and their friends… yes, I’m a nerd.
